Join us to celebrate Canada's birthday on July 1, 2016 at Rotary Park. Festivities will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The City of Merritt Canada Day Celebrations is a free event  and includes fun things to see and do for all ages!

With the looming threat of a postal labour dispute, the City of Merritt is warning the public to take precautions with their property tax payments and Home Owner grant applications.

We are nearing the July 4th due date so please ensure that your taxes are paid and your Home Owner Grant is claimed by this date so that you are not charged a late payment penalty.

A permissive tax exemption is a means for Council to support organizations within the community which further Council's objectives of enhancing quality of life (environmental, economic, social, cultural) and delivering community services economically.

The City of Merritt is seeking three (3) individuals to sit on the City’s Board of Variance for a three (3) year term.  The Board of Variance is independent from the City and jurisdiction, and set out by Bylaw.
