Effective September 5th, 2017 the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) will no longer be accepting plastic bags in its mixed recycling program.  This effects the recycling program the City of Merritt offers.

What will no longer be accepted:

The City of Merritt has retained BA Dawson Blacktop Ltd. to complete Phase II of the Coldwater Avenue Improvement Project. The purpose of this capital works project is to replace aging infrastructure beneath Coldwater Avenue, between Wilson St. and River St.

Today until 5:00 PM, Service Canada agents are on site in Merritt to answer any questions evacuees have about Employment Insurance and Pensions.
