PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY given to the electors of the City of Merritt that an election by voting is necessary to elect one (1) Mayor, six (6) Councillors and three (3) School Trustees, and that the persons nominated as candidates and for whom votes will be received are:

The next general local government election is November 15, 2014. Advanced Polls will be conducted on Wednesday, November 05, 2014 and Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at City Hall, 2185 Voght Street from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The City's parks washrooms are now closed for the season.  These washrooms include Lions Park, Voght Park, Rotary Park and Central Park.  
Park washrooms will be re-opened for use in April.
