Economic Development

Situated 271 kilometres northeast of Vancouver, Merritt is the hub of several major highway systems.  The city has direct links to the Lower Mainland, to Kamloops, and to Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley by way of the Coquilhalla Highway system. The Trans-Canada Highway and Yellowhead Highway provide direct links to the east.
