Dog Park

The City of Merritt invites you to visit the designated fenced dog park. This off-leash dog park is a great spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy.

Skateboard Pump Track

The Skateboard park is an outdoor park built out of concrete and consists of:

  • Big three set
  • Curved down ledge
  • Extension rail
  • Flat curve
  • Ledges 3 set
  • Love park mock ledges
  • Movable bench
  • Slam style pyramid

Bike Pump Track

Rotary Bike Park was originally built in 2006 and has recently received an upgrade in 2018.

Multi-Use Sports Box (Outdoor Rink)

The Multi-Use Sports Box can be used for Basketball, Lacrosse, Pickleball or Hockey.

Running Track

There is a circular running track at VOGHT PARK 1500 Canford Avenue.  This track was damaged, and is currently in plans to be renovated.

Tennis Courts

This mixed-use public park is cart friendly and dog-friendly, and features a tennis court and disk golf course.

Disc Golf (Frisbee Golf)

Family-friendly, beginner-friendly, 9-hole disk golf course established in Bench Park, Merritt, BC, in 2021. Fun for all skill levels, this mixed-use public park is cart friendly and dog-friendly. First tee located directly beside the tennis courts. Holes alternate between playing on black and red baskets.

The City has several parks with playgrounds, and one spraypark.

Trails & Walks

There are several parks with trails and some interconnecting trails throughout the City of Merritt.  The City is also working on improving our Active Transportation Paths.  See Plan and Progress. In the meantime, the following parks have walking trails:

CENTRAL PARK TO ROTARY PARK: 2975 Voght St

COLDWATER RIVER TRAIL  follows the river, connecting to VOGHT PARK (1500 Canford) and then across the river to CENTENNIAL PARK (1350 Government Ave)

Also let your dogs play free in the new, fenced Off-Leash Dog Park in VOGHT PARK (1500 Canford).  Includes a separate area for small dogs.
