Halloween Events 2023
OCTOBER 25 – 31
Join us for a week-long of Halloween events happening from October 25 – 31, including 3 nights of Haunted House Thrills.
The grad class of 2024 will be designing, building, and hosting the Haunted House with the help of the Recreation Department as part of their fundraising towards Prom.
Family Friendly Haunted House
WEDNESDAY | October 25 | 5:00 – 7:00pm | Merritt Civic Centre
Cost: $2.00/person or $10/family (max. 6)
Fright Night Haunted House
THURSDAY | October 26 | 5:00 – 7:00pm | Merritt Civic Centre
Cost: $2.00/person or $10/family (max. 6)
THE MAIN EVENT:
Spooktacular Haunted House + Celebration
In addition to the Haunted House there will be games, prizes, booths, music, treats, crafts and concession!
FRIDAY | October 27 | 5:00 – 7:00pm | Merritt Civic Centre
Cost: FREE, however donations for the Grad class are greatly appreciated!

Halloween Public Skate
SUNDAY | October 29 | 5:15 – 6:15pm | Nicola Valley Memorial Arena (NVMA)
Dress up and skate around to some Halloween tunes!
Fireworks Halloween Night
TUESDAY | October 31 | 8:00pm | Central Park
Finish off your evening of trick or treating by joining us at Central Park for a fireworks display to remember.

FIREWORKS BYLAW
Section 9.3 of the Fire Safety Regulations bylaw states “No Fireworks may be offered for sale or used except between the dates of October 16 and November 1st in each year. The sale or use of fireworks outside these days may be permitted with the written authorization of the Fire Chief.”
