The City of Merritt is excited to welcome back the Nicola Valley Rodeo for their 66th annual event this coming Labour Day long weekend. “Bring your Lil’ cowpokes to this high quality action packed family event that honours the ranching and rodeo heritage of the Nicola Valley.
Rodeo Parade
Kick off Merritt’s famed Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo weekend with a visit to the Rodeo Parade on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 6:30PM. Road closures will be in effect from two hours before the event start (effectively 4:30PM).

Free shuttle for Merritt Rodeo!
BC Transit and the City of Merritt are providing a free shuttle to help get you to the rodeo a little easier, September 5 & 6, 2026.
The free shuttle will pick up and drop off passengers at Merritt City Hall. Trips headed to the Merritt Rodeo will leave Merritt City Hall, pick-up times 11:30 am, 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm. Return trips from rodeo grounds will be 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm.
