The City of Merritt will be holding a Public Hearing for Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 2383, 2024, and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2384, 2024 for the property at 1101 Midday Valley Road:

PROPOSED CHANGES: 1101 MIDDAY VALLEY ROAD Bylaw No. 2383, 2024 proposes to amend the OCP Land Use Designation for the subject property from ‘Future Development’ to ‘Industrial’. Bylaw No. 2384, 2024 proposes to amend the Zoning for the subject property from ‘CD1-RC –Comprehensive Development – Residential Commercial’’ to ‘M1 – Light Industrial’.

The Current Land Use Designation and Zoning intends to identify lands for future development/ comprehensive development aligned with the general vision of the corresponding OCP sector of Middlesboro – to include a mix of low and medium density residential, parks, and industrial uses.

PROVIDE INPUT: Input is welcomed at the Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm. Speak in person by signing up at the hearing, or be providing a written submission to the Corporate Officer at info@merritt.ca prior to noon, on Friday, January 24, 2025, or by mail to the Corporate Officer, City of Merritt, PO Box 189, Merritt, BC, V1K 1B8, to be received before the conclusion of the hearing.

Please note that the Council will not receive further submissions from the public concerning this application after the conclusion of the public hearing. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure that materials are received prior to the close of the public hearing.
