Street Sweeping Schedule
The snow is gone and it’s time to clean the streets.
The City of Merritt Road Sweeping Program begins mid-March, beginning with priority areas like the City Centre and parking lots. Street sweeping efforts will then move into the residential areas.
Note that temperatures must be above zero degrees for the sweeper to work, since water is required for operation. An unforeseen cold snap may change this schedule.
If you wish to help the street sweeper, move vehicles off the road. If you are sweeping debris from your property onto the roadway, please do not create piles.
A reminder for drivers to obey all traffic warning signage that the sweeper is in the area and to slow down when approaching equipment and workers.
