PUBLIC NOTICE:

Proposed Deposit of Municipal Land

FEBRUARY 2024

In accordance with Section 24 of the Community Charter, the City of Merritt gives notice of its intention to enter into a licence to occupy a 13.5 square metre portion of the municipal roadway, located between Voght Street and DeWolf Way as identified in blue on the map below.

The licence to occupy will be with the Merritt and Nicola Valley Destination Marketing Society (dba Tourism Nicola Valley) for the purpose of the placement of a digital sign. The consideration for the disposition of the area is $25,000 per year. The term of the agreement is for one year with an option to renew annually.
