Waste Water

The City of Merritt operates and maintains the community’s wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment facilities. Our Public Works team works year-round to keep wastewater services safe, reliable and environmentally responsible.

We maintain sewer mains, manholes, lift stations, siphons and other infrastructure, respond to blockages and emergencies, and operate the wastewater treatment plant to ensure wastewater is properly treated before being released back into the environment.
