What's new?

The City of Merritt, Community Futures Nicola Valley & School District 58 Nicola—Similkameen are pleased to offer a new program for youth in Grades 8 through 12 in the Nicola Valley. 

The City of Merritt has issued a Local State of Emergency within the Nicola Valley Floodplain.  This declaration allows the City to excercise certain powers under the Emergency Program Act to protect lives and infrastructure should the need arise.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018 there will be a Special Committee of the Whole meeting for discussion of Cannabis dispensaries.  This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at 6PM.

Spring has arrived and the City of Merritt will be celebrating by bringing out the street sweepers!  Weather permitting, crews will commence a City-wide street sweeping program running from March 19th, 2018 to April 2nd, 2018.  Thank you for your patience.

The Citizen Budget Consultation is up and running.
