Merritt —August 28, 2019— The City of Merritt is pleased to announce the Rotary Spray Park will be reopened this Labour Day long weekend until Monday September 2, 2019.
Due to the hot temperatures forecast for this weekend and the Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo weekend activities, the City of Merritt invites residents to enjoy the Rotary Spray Park. During this time, the City of Merritt is drawing more water from the Kengard Well and the Nicola Aquifer as to not impact the Coldwater River.
Mayor Linda Brown states, “Following feedback from residents, the City of Merritt will be reopening the Rotary Spray Park from August 28, 2019 to September 2, 2019. We invite residents and visitors alike to enjoy the beautiful Nicola Valley during the Labour Day long weekend.”
The Rotary Park Playground will also remain open until Tuesday, September 3 then will close until October 11 to allow for a new playground upgrade to be installed. For Labour Day long weekend events in the Nicola Valley visit www.tourismmerritt.ca/events
