The City of Merritt is please to present the Economic and Tourism Indicators Quarterly Report for the first quarter of 2017. This report shows the Tourism and Economic Development statistics for the period of January to March 2017 in comparison to previous years.

City of Merritt to build from previous Business Walks.

The City works crew will be commencing the annual Cemetery clean up from May 1 to 5, 2017.  Any offerings or memorabilia that are placed on headstones will be removed and placed at the Pine Ridge Cemetery shed.

The City of Merritt will be partnering with FreeGarden Rain for an Online Rain Barrel Pre-Order Sale.  The Pre-order deadline is May 22, 2017.

Monetary donations are now being accepted by the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce for the displaced residents of Kengard Manor. 

People wishing to donate funding are asked to contact the Chamber office at 250-378-5634, or after hours to 250-315-3290.

The ASK Wellness Society has agreed to take the lead for housing management for the displaced residents of Kengard Manor.

The fire at the Kengard Manor apartment complex that started on the afternoon of Thursday, March 16, 2017, has left fifty-eight (58) residents displaced.

At the time of the fire, there were thirty-five (35) occupied units in the building.
