Street Sweeping

The City is conducting street sweeping of all roads starting the week of July 10 for about one week, starting with arterial roads and main commercial areas in the downtown area and moving outwards to residential areas.

Residents can help by moving vehicles off the roadways. Please also avoid creating sand piles on the streets when sweeping personal property.

Public Works is responsible for maintenance of municipal roads (not repair of provincial highways or bridges). They are also responsible for municipal street signage, utilities, sewer, water, waste collection, and parks, cemetery, and facility maintenance.
