DIKE CONSTRUCTION

DANGER!!!

DIKE WALKING PATH and PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE CLOSED

There is active Flood Mitigation construction occurring along the dike.  As a result, there is NO public access at the end of Quilchena Ave, along the river and up to the intersection of Main St. and Canford Ave.

The NK&S Railway walking/pedestrian bridge is also closed to safeguard the community from construction activity in the area.

Please avoid the area to ensure construction work can continue undisrupted, this will assist the project to stay on time and on budget. The public should expect increased road traffic along major roads in the City, along Quilchena and Main, as well as near the Public Works Yard. This work is expected to be completed October 2024.

Quilchena Avenue

DIKE WALKING PATH CLOSED

There will be no public access at the end of Quilchena Ave, along the river, and up to the intersection of Main St. and Canford Ave due to Flood Mitigation Repairs in the area. The NK&S Railway walking/pedestrian bridge will also be closed due to construction activity in the area.

The public should expect increased road traffic along major roads in the City, along Quilchena and Main, as well as near the Public Works Yard. Permitted and monitored site preparation and construction activity will also be happening in and around the City Works yard and adjacent river. This work is expected to be completed October 2024.
