NEW RFP & Public Tenders Section Added to Website

Merritt —March 5, 2013—The City of Merritt has added a new element to the merritt.ca website. Businesses interested in doing work for the City of Merritt can now search for RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and public tenders on the website. Contractors can review all RFPs and public tenders on the “Doing Business” tab on the main page or, if they prefer, go to the “I Want To” side tab under “Apply For” to review them.

The City of Merritt, Economic Development Manager, James Umpherson, says “adding this feature to the website provides one more avenue to engage business in the community”. He furthers states, “centralizing RFPs and Public Tenders on the website ensures that businesses interested in doing work for the City can easily review and access the information. This is one more added tool in the ongoing development of information, resources, and communications the City of Merritt is using to help businesses, citizens, and visitors with their decisions”.

www.merritt.ca is growing, improving, and providing valuable information to businesses, citizens, and visitors. It is the goal of the City of Merritt to continue to ensure the best and most recent information is available through our communication channels. The newly developed website plays a key role in ensuring our message is disseminated out into the community.
