Merritt Fire Rescue Launches New Website

MERRITT FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY AND ITS FIREFIGHTERS

The Merritt Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) announces the launch of a state of the art website (firerescue.merritt.ca).  The new website will provide its visitors with clear information about the MFRD, and will benefit those interested in the department’s paid-on-call firefighting opportunities and ultra-successful work experience program.

Found at firerescue.merritt.ca, the website boasts a modern look and feel, is mobile and tablet friendly, and bundles many sites previously serving the department into one.  The website is intended to become a full-service resource for department updates, linking visitors with the MFRD’s social media sites for breaking news, as well as an information source for fire and life safety tips, local events and ways to volunteer and get involved in with the community.

This is a soft launch, new features and content will be added in the coming months, including a “members only” page which will help the department’s firefighters communicate better internally.
