2017 Dog Licence Renewal Notices

2017 Dog Licence renewal notices were mailed out at the end of November 2016 to all registered dog owners within the City of Merritt.  The payment due date for your dog licence is January 6, 2017.  The City of Merritt Animal Control Bylaw No. 2187, 2015 requires all dogs over the age of six (6) months of age be licensed with the City of Merritt.

You can purchase your  2017 dog tags at City Hall between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.  Please note that City Hall offices will be closed from December 24, 2016 and will re-open on January 3, 2017.

There are many benefits to licensing your dog, the most important being reuniting lost dogs with their owners. The costs for Dog Licences are as follows:
• $16.00 if your dog is spayed or neutered
• $32.00 if they are intact.

Please also note that there are only  two (2) dogs permitted per parcel of land.

If you have already purchased your 2017 Dog Licence,  thank you on behalf of the City of Merritt.
