Bylaws
  1. THAT the City of Merritt Sanitary Sewer Bylaw amending Bylaw No. 2156, 2013 be adopted
  2. THAT the City of Merritt Zoning Bylaw No. 2134, 2013 be given first reading
  3. THAT the City of Merritt Zoning Bylaw No. 2134, 2013 be given second reading
  4. THAT the City of Merritt Zoning Bylaw No. 2134, 2013 be submitted to Public Hearing
New Business:
  1. THAT Council opts not to sign the offer letter and inform MMBC of our intent to carry on with our existing recyling system
Reports From council:
  1. Councillor Goetz reported on the meeting with Minister Oakes during UBCM and the City receiving a $10,000 grant.  Councillor Goetz expressed his sympathies on the passing of some community pioneers and offered condolences to the families of Henry Norgaard, Lena Post and Reicks Polmans
  2. Councillor Christopherson advised he enjoyed the UBCM Conference and attended the Kicking Horse Culture presentation, Mid-Sized Communities Forum and 8 Habits of Effective Citizen Engagement session
  3. Councillor Baker attended the Business after Business at City Furniture, the first game of the season for the Merritt Centennials and reminded volunteers of the tea organized for September 25th
  4. Mayor Roline attended NVIT's 30th anniversary, the Business after Business, UBCM at which Council had meetings with 6 Ministers plus the Premier.  Mayor Roline attended the BC Mayors Caucus as well as Walrus Talks - Art of Conversation; the premier of "Shawna" and 50th anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Turmel
