General Matters:
  1. S/Sgt Sheila White presented to Council the RCMP detachment strategic priorities being; police community relations and visibility of RCMP, crime reduction and substance abuse
Bylaws:
  1. Council gave City of Merritt Solid Waste Collection, Disposal and Control Amendment Bylaw No. 2139, 2012 first, second and third reading
  2. Council gave City of Merritt Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2140, 2012 first, second and third reading 
New Business:
  1. Council received the official by-election results
  2. Council accepted the Merritt Visitor Information at the Baillie House third quarter report
  3. Council resolved to renew the Claybanks RV Park operating agreement with Jack and Rosemary McNeil for a 2 year term beginning January 01, 2013
  4. Council resolved the request from the Heritage Commission recommending Council budget $3500 for the year 2013 be referred to staff to be included in the 2013 budget deliberations
Reports from Council:
  1. Councillor Goetz attended the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at the Legion
  2. Councillor Baker attended the Crime Stoppers Murder Mystery on September 29th and attended with Mayor Roline a meeting at the high school regarding graduation requirements
  3. Mayor Roline and Council along with the Chief Administrative Officer attended the UBCM Conference in Victoria.  Mayor Roline attended 101 Boardroom Problems and how to solve them as well as Robert's Rules of Order workshops on October 01st and 02nd; attended the Voght Park conceptual plan open house as well as the information session hosted by the Fraser Basin regarding the Nicola Lake plan on September 19th and the Rotary Club Taste of India evening on September 22nd
