Bylaws:
  1. Council adopted the City of Merritt Land Use Amendment and Development Approval Procedure Amendment Bylaw No. 2122, 2011
  2. Council adopted City of Merritt Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2124, 2011
  3. Council adopted City of Merritt Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2125, 2011
  4. Council gave first, second and third reading to City of Merritt Council Indemnity Bylaw No. 2123, 2011
New Business:
  1. Council considered sending future commercial landscaping development plans to the Water Resource Advisory Committee for review
  2. Council resolved that the City of Merritt respond as having no concerns with the Technical Assessment for the Merritt Green Energy Air Permit application
Notices of Motion:
  1. Acting Mayor Murdoch made a notice of motion that Administration be instructed to prepare a report showing anticipated capital replacement costs for water, sewer and road infrastructure by year for at least the next 20 years with options for funding these costs AND THAT the report be included in the agenda package for the November 22, 2011 Regular Council meeting
Reports from Council:
  1. Councillor Kroeker reported that the Directional Signage Committee has a member that can no longer accept the commitment and COuncil resolved that Kurt Christopherson replace Kathleen Dahlquist-Gray on the Directional Signage Committee
  2. Councillor Baker commended and complimented the Leisure Services staff on the great job done on the Halloween Bash set up at the Civic Centre
  3. Acting Mayor Murdoch commented on the Chamber of Commerce event and the great presentations made by the Community Policing Office and the Business & Economic Development Manager
