General Matters:
  1. Mr. K. Bartch, Chairperson, Outdoor Recreational Facility Users Committee presented to Council the committee's mandate and proposals for Voght Park and Central Park.  The committee requested for the next phase that Council provide funding for a professional conceptual and architectual plan which will lead to the costing out of this venture as this will be required in order to proceed with any grant applications.
  1. Council adopted City of Merritt Council Indemnity Bylaw No. 2123, 2011
New Business:
  1. Council instructed Administration to prepare a report showing the anticipated capital replacement costs for water, sewer and road infrastructure by year for at least the next 20 years and options for funding these projects with the report included in the agenda package for the budget process.
  2. Council approved the Development Permit Application for Merritt Green Energy
  3. Council accepted the Merritt Visitor Information Booth second and third quarter reports for 2011
  4. Council directed the Financial Services Manager to include the cost of the downtown washrooms in the 2012 budget
Reports from Council:
  1. Councillor Sanders reported she attended the TOTA Conference last week and will have a report for the next Council meeting
  2. Councillor Goetz reminded everyone the Country Christmas Parade deadline was drawing near
  3. Councillor Baker attended the webinar for Healthier Smaller Communities held at Community Futures Nicola Valley
  4. Mayor Roline reported she attended the housing symposium held at the CPO on November 02; had met with the new S/Sgt for the Merritt RCMP Detachment - Stewart Seeb; was invited to speak at and attended the BC Tourism conference held in Victoria at the end of October and that various members of Council had attended the ground breaking ceremony for Huldra Silver held at the Craigmont mine site
