Unfinished Business:
  1. Council denied the Merritt Volleyball Assoiciation's request for the City to waive the costs of renting the Civic Centre for the Volley fest banquets April 14th and April 28th
  1. Council adopted the Merritt Business Licence Amendment Bylaw No. 2130, 2012
New Business:
  1. The decision regarding the Municipal and Regional District Hotel Room Tax program funds was deferred until after the April 02nd Committee of the Whole meeting with the Merritt Hotel Asociation and Council
  2. Council adopted the Terms of Reference for the 2012 Air Quality Committee
  3. Council appointed the following to the Air Quality Committee:  Councillor Dave Baker, Herb Graham representing the TNRD, Ted Mahler representing IHA, Richie Gage representing BC Lung Association, Brenda Stockford representing Industry, Tim Larsen-woodstove exchange program coordinator, Ralph Adams representing MoE and three members at large - Colleen Hentze, Kraid Anderssen and Ida Hedrick
  4. Council accepted the First Quarter 2012 report from the Nicola Valley Heritage Society
  5. Council accepted the Merritt News request to support and advertise in the 2012 "Unofficial" Visitor's Guide at a cost of $2,000 for the back page
  6. Council approved the Development Variance Permit for 2799 Clapperton Avenue
  1. Councillor Norgaard reported on the CMHA Housing Workshop she attended March 14th in Kamloops
  2. Councillor Baker attended the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and extended congratulations to all the winners.  Councillor Baker also attended the Business after Business on Thursday evening
  3. Acting Mayor Brigden congratulated Al Clarke on his retirement after 39 years with tonight being his last "official" Council meetng as a reporter
