General Matters – Delegations and Recognitions
  • Corporal Dean Gladieux presented to Council the D.A.R.E. Program providing history of the program, effects of drug abuse and direction to the D.A.R.E. website
  • Ms. P. Weston, Nicola Valley Heritage Society and Ms. S. Curnow, Manager of Visitor Information at the Baillie House, presented to Council the highlights for the 2013 tourist season and goals for 2014
  • Ms. C. Werrun presented to Counil the City Arts & Culture Policy Task Force report

New Business:

1. THAT Coucil approve Development Permit application DP2013-M for Dollarama (2780 Forksdale Road) subject to the bond being received for landscaping

Reports From council:
  1. Councillor Kroeker requested the recommendation from the City Arts & Culture Policy Task Force be dealt with in a timely manner
  2. Councillor Baker attended the Business after Business at the Visitor Information Centre and the "Tribute to Hank Williams"
  3. Councillor Norgaard requested the Air Quality Commitee discuss burning outside of the City limits; Councillor Baker advised that would an issue for the TNRD
  4. Mayor Roline attended the fundraiser for the Food Bank - the "Tribute to Hank Williams" and provided an update on the budget process
