Bylaws
  • THAT City of Merritt Waterworks Bylaw Amending Bylaw No. 2166, 2014 be rescinded
  • THAT City of Merritt Waterworks Bylaw Amending Bylaw No. 2166, 2014 Schedule "A" be amended to read $316.27 per annum
  • THAT City of Merritt Waterworks Bylaw Amending Bylaw No. 2166, 2014 be given third reading as amended
  • THAT City of Merritt Solid Waste Collection Disposal and Control Bylaw No. 2167, 2014 be adopted
  • THAT City of Merritt Sewerage System Bylaw Bylaw No. 2168, 2014 be adopted
New Business:
  • THAT staff report back to Council within thirty (30) days options of design and costs to replace the three (3) highway signs
  • THAT staff be directed to remove the existing faded signage and retain the old "Flourish Under The Sun" signage; AND THAT if the "Flourish Under The Sun" signage is not usable, all signage be removed with only the logs remin standing (voting opposed: Councillor Kroeker)
  • THAT Council accepts the resignation of Directional Signage Committee Member Chelsea Werrun; AND THAT City Staff be directed to advertise for more members for the Directional Signage Committee
Reports From council:
  1. Councillor Menard will attend the Nicola Valley Search & Rescue meeting on April 13 at NVIT with the Legacy Water Search & Recovery Society; Merritt Centennials Spring Evaluation Camp
  2. Councillor Christopherson attended the Shriner's Bus on April 08
  3. Councillor Baker on March 31 attended the demonstration of pavement reclaimer at the City Public Works yard; April 08 toured the Shriner's Bus
  4. Councillor Goetz reported the Home Based Business Task Force is complete and changes will be forth coming
