The City of Merritt is conducting a Water System Study and must collect information from each and every residential property owner or occupant within the City’s municipal boundaries. To save taxpayers the cost of an in-person information collection program, the City is requesting that an authorized resident from each household complete the following survey by Friday, May 3, 2024.

Eligible survey respondents will be entered to win in a draw for 3 GREAT PRIZES.

Prize awards will be gift cards to local retailers. Only those authorized residents who complete the survey by May 3, 2024 are eligible for the draw. Read the contest rules below.

2. Does your home have a crawlspace?

3. Do you have an automatic irrigation system?

Contest Rules

  • Contest is intended only for residences within the municipal boundaries of the City of Merritt, British Columbia. Contest is not applicable to commercial, industrial, institutional or vacant properties.
  • Each and every household in the City of Merritt must provide the information required in the survey. Only those that complete the survey by May 3, 2024, will be eligible for the contest prizes.
  • Only authorized occupants (eg: name on title or rental agreement) may enter to win. Must be aged 18 years or older. Only one entry per household.
  • Survey entry must be complete and legible to be entered to win the draw. Incomplete, inaccurate, illegible, duplicate, or late entries will be disqualified. The City of Merritt is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries.
  • Winners will be granted gift card(s)/gift certificate(s)to local retailers for receipt of advertised prizes. The City of Merritt reserves the right to dictate the parameters of such prizes. Prize delivery must be conducted in person. Not redeemable for cash.
  • Winners will be selected by a random draw within 30 days of the final submission date and will be contacted by phone and email.
  • If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within a reasonable period or fails to meet eligibility requirements, an alternate winner may be selected.
  • This collection of personal information is authorized under the Local Government Act, Community Charter and section 26(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The information will be used for the purpose of updating the City’s water system records.   • The Contest is subject to the laws of the Province of British Columbia and Canada.
