The next local government election will take place on
November 17, 2018
Qualified Electors of the City of Merritt will elect the following positions for the four (4) year term ending in October 2018:
• (1) Mayor
• (6) Councillors
• (3) School Trustees
General Election Information
In BC, general local elections are held every four (4) years. In Merritt, these include the election of a Mayor and six (6) Councillors to City Council, and the election of three (3) School Trustees to the Board of School District No. 58 (Nicola-Similkameen).
